This invasive plant grows up each summer crowding out the native flora. It then dies back each winter leaving erosion prone bare soil.
The best treatment is to pull it out by hand each year before it goes to seed. It will take a good few years of this before it is eradicated.
Apologies for the late notice, but the timing is dependent on the growth of the Himalayan Balsam.
Too early and it is too small to pull up, too late and it will already have scattered it's seeds for the year.
