Another top job from the team last weekend, with another 75 hours work on our Dorset Peat Partnership mire restoration project.
The Rhododendron team did an awesome job and have cut the remaining section of the huge patch that was spreading into the mire.
They have also processed a lot of it ready by the fire site, so we will be having a bonfire again next Saturday.
Sarah the ecologist at Forestry England has visited the site and is really happy with the progress and has agreed the next stage of work.
An additional drain has been identified, so we need to clear some of the Birch and Pine along it.
On Saturday we will base ourselves back up the top near the fire site / "meeting point" on the map.
To give us a final push before the end of the month and before we get into bird nesting season, we will be running a session on Wednesday 28th February when we will be joined by some of the team from Forestry England. A great opportunity to showcase your incredible efforts x
As always, everyone is welcome to join us if you can make it.
We will base ourselves by the Dog Splash for this one.
