We will continuing with our efforts to clear the Himalayan Balsam along Uddens Water carrying on from our efforts earlier this month.
We will be meeting just inside the entrance to Uddens Plantation (Near the Police Station / Golf Course) at 9am.

We will finish clearing in that area before moving along the trailway where there is another patch.
Gloves, Tools, Drinks and biscuits supplied as always.
I recommend stout shoes and long trousers as there are a lot of ticks around at the moment and the balsam is in among plenty of other vegetation!

But it is definitely worth it.......
This river bank until this year was bare earth in the winter and just Balsam in the summer. 3 years of pulling the balsam and we now have native plants growing.
