There have been reports of individuals using air rifles, crossbows and sling shots at targets in Cannon Hill South just off Uddens Drive.
The Forestry Commission advice is to report any such activity to the police as it is unauthorised and illegal.
Dorset Police advice is that if a crime is in progress, call them on 999.
